Abandoned Version 1.2 Patch Notes


After reviewing feedback from all of you through your comments and videos I have made a few new changes to improve the game experience:

- When killed by an enemy the player was able to get stabbed over and over. This also caused the player camera to spin. Both issues have been fixed.

- Sometimes, enemies would not chase the player at the end of the game. This was due to an issue where the counter used to track time was not reaching the desired value. This has been fixed.

- The vehicle fire was a little hard to notice for some people so I decided to make it much larger. The fire now covers most of the vehicle hood.

- Changed some of the tutorial hint text so that it is more descriptive

- Spirits will no longer spawn in at their full volume and instead gradually increase in volume

- Some objects did not have colliders and the player was able to walk through them. These colliders have been added.

- The enemies now detect the player from further away.

- The enemy will stop walking once they are standing over the player

- Enemy sounds will stop while the game is paused via the escape menu

- Reduced the length of the last objective title

- Made some player dialogue appear later on in game play to fit the flow of time better

- The main enemy now moves faster while the "spirits" move slower. This will hopefully cause the enemy to be the main cause of death most of the time.

- Fixed an issue where the objective text's faded background edges would be visible

- The grain effect that appears at the end of the game now increases more gradually and appears earlier in the game.

- Fixed an issue that caused objective text to appear away from the edge of the screen
