Final Release V1.0.0 Now Available
Reliance is finally complete. Over 8 months I spent time working on this game to get it where it now is. I'm proud of what I was able to make and I hope that comes across in the game play experience. The change log for this version isn't massive, mostly thanks to the massive size that 0.7.5 was, but there are still major improvements made:
Visuals
Created game play images that describe sections of the screen to be used in the How To Play section of the main menu
Fixed issue where enemy turrets would not animate while idle
Changed the idle animation of the enemy turret (how it "scans")
Changed the way that bots act in the idle state. They move around more than before and turning is smoothed
Created a new splash screen for the launcher with the updated version number
Created a new Icon that shows on the task bar
Created a new cover image for the itch page
Added a flashing animation to the text log when a new log is created
Created a new item icon for strength stat items
Game Play
Adjusted the minimum and maximum amount of enemies spawned for each difficulty
Changed level requirement for unlocking insane difficulty missions from 7 to 9
Fixed an issue where enemy reinforcements would spawn in at greater numbers than they should
Adjusted size of all bot colliders to help with the player shooting
Made changes to how the player moves (again). Should make movement more stable
Fixed an issue where enemy reinforcements were not spawning in the kill mission type
Extra enemy reinforcements will now spawn once objectives are complete to chase after the player as they exit (only in kill, destroy, hack, and assault missions)
The amount of enemies that come to reinforce and chase are now increased at each level of difficulty
Fixed issue where bots would attack multiple times (faster than fire rate) if their target was moving
Changed names, descriptions, and stat bonuses for multiple items
Under the hood
Fixed the spawn rotation of some terminals being incorrect.
Added missing movement way points to level 2
Fixed known bot errors
Fixed an issue with the settings menu where it would not save and load volume values correctly or at the right time
Fixed an issue that caused turrets to break after losing contact with a target
Fixed enemy turret animations playing at the wrong speed
Updated asset store packages and cleaned code
Fixed an issue where missions would become unplayable if generated via the "Generate New Missions" button
Created new script to handle reverting changes to volume settings when exiting the menu without applying
Removed scenes that are no longer needed (testing scenes)
Fixed an error that would occur if the player shot at the barrel of an enemy instead of their main body
Fixed a case where friendly bots would stop working when they lost reference to the enemy during their attack
Fixed issue with finish screen where exp was not being calculated correctly.
Sound
The reload sound is now affected by the music slider
Added bot movement sounds to the SFX slider of the settings menu. Bot movement sounds will now be affected by this slider.
Added a new audio source to all bots so that they produce sound when they move. Volume of the sound is determined by how fast they move.

User Interface
Changed version number for main menu and launcher
Created a credits screen on the main menu
Changed the bounds of the text log so that the text does not spill over the edges
Added more panels to the how to and included all new images
The settings menu will now discard volume changes if the menu is exited without applying changes
Updated the credits info to have more accurate information about assets used
Fixed an issue where the enemy counter for the kill mission would show incorrect values for how many enemies remained
Added a How To Play menu on the main menu that introduces the games mechanics.
Changed layout of settings menu:
- Made the reset values button smaller
- Re-positioned the sliders
- Added info to the top of the panel that explains the sliders
- Set the max value of the sliders to 20 instead of 15
If all save games are deleted from the main menu the continue button will be deactivated. This stops the player from entering a save file that no longer exists.
If the last played game is deleted from the main menu the continue button will be deactivated.
Changed all input so that it can be edited via the Unity launcher Input tab. All inputs have names that specifically correlate to functions in the game.
Updated command info during missions to include more information

Thanks to anyone that kept up with the development or tried the game out. I really appreciate anyone who took their time to even read my game page or these dev logs. I am going to continue making games and they will be posted on itch.io so if this game interested you please keep an eye out for my other projects.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my game!
