Reliance
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
By Baconation
A squad based strategy shooter game where you must rely on your team of AI bots to bring you to victory.
Goal
Given a team of 3 bots alongside your own, you must enter compounds in control of warring factions and complete mission objectives. Objectives can be as simple as destroying all enemies in the compound or more complex like protecting a faction's allied bots from attackers.
Commands
Your bots have a wide array of available commands that you can give individually or as a group. Using these you can develop strategies to more efficiently take on your objective. Commands include things like: Attack, Follow, Partner, Capture, Sentry, Move To, Search, Retreat, etc....
Locations
Locations will vary depending on where you are sent for your mission and no mission is the same as the last. Each mission will switch up the location and number of enemies, items that will appear, and positions of objectives. This is also modified by the difficulty that you play at, with your squads levels affecting what missions you are able to accept.
Vendors
Using the funds you get from completing a mission, you can go to vendors that will take your winnings and convert them into mods that are placed onto your bots to improve their capabilities. Sometimes the vendors will sell more rare mods with higher than normal stats, boosting your bots to higher limits.
Damages
As the name implies, you must rely on your fellow bots to get the job done. No mission can be completed on your own, and some fights can only be won as a group. The more damage you and your team take, the more you must pay for repairs in the end. It is in your best interest to be as efficient as possible, keeping damage to a minimum so that you can take full advantage of your rewards.
Reinforcements
In the interest of efficiency, you should also be aware that the enemy will not take your assault sitting down. If they feel weakened and see that you are starting to complete your objective, they will send reinforcements to stop you. Once your objective is completed it may be in your best interest to get out as fast as possible or you may be overwhelmed.
Leveling
Once you survive a mission and receive your funds, your bots will also gain experience, allowing you to improve their abilities. Each function that a bot uses to operate is subject to upgrade: health, scanning, movement speed, turret speed, critical hit rate, base weapon damage, experience gain, etc... .
Reliance is no longer in active development and is now fully released. Unless major game breaking problems appear I will not be doing any more updates to this game.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my game!

Linux version, please.
Had not considered it but I can try and see if it's possible.
I went ahead and uploaded a Linux version of the game for you. I have no way of testing if it will work for you on my end so please let me know if you have any issues.
It doesn't start.

no boot config - using default values (Filename: Line: 474)
P.S. Linux is case sensitive. file.txt and FILE.txt are two different files for it. Maybe it can't find file with boot config for this reason.
It may have had something to do with the way I created the build inside Unity. I am going to try and re-build the files and upload it.
Edit: I uploaded the new version. Make sure you extract the files from the zip.
I played for some time, seems like the game works.
Great! Glad I could get it working for you.
An excellent game with a lot of potential! It still needs a lot of time to be built up, but holds a great concept. Coordinating with AI companions to complete objectives.
